Pupils at Trojan Horse school ‘were forced to pray instead of playing football and taught that Christians and Jews were ignorant’
Wakass Haruf faces disciplinary panel over teaching at Birmingham schoolHe taught at two of five schools linked to the Trojan Horse scandal
Allegedly called pupils who chose football over prayer kaffir - non-believers
Mr Haruf also accused of ranting about 'ignorant Christians and Jews'
He claims he is 'shocked' to be one of 13 teachers facing teaching panel
Muslim pupils at a school at the centre of the Trojan Horse scandal were banned from playing football because it is a 'sin' and were forced to pray instead, a disciplinary panel has heard.
Maths teacher Wakass Haruf, 30, is accused of telling children they were worse than a 'kaffir' - a non-believer - if they chose sport over worship at Park View School in Alum Rock, Birmingham.
He also taught at Golden Hillock School in Sparkhill, Birmingham, between May and July 2013, where other teachers claim he openly criticised 'ignorant Christians and ignorants Jews'.

A disciplinary panel heard he persuaded pupils to attend Friday prayers by 'making them feel guilty' about playing football in the playground.
The National College for Teaching and Leadership (NCTL) heard that Mr Haruf - a Sunni Muslim - clashed with the school's head of maths Homa Memari, who is a Shia Muslim.
NCTL legal representative Kate Bex told the hearing yesterday: 'In June 2013, Mr Haruf made comments in a Friday prayer session that were sectarian in nature.
'Frank Bruce, a teacher at Golden Hillock School, heard him emphasise several times how important Abu Bakr is, while directing his attention to Ms Memari.
'Historically, Shia Muslims follow one leader after the Prophet, Ali, and not other leaders such as Abu Bakr who is important only to Sunni Muslims and not to Shia Muslims.
